The client for this project allowed for a non-traditional concept for his family-owned mattress manufacturer and sellers. He was open to new ideas and aesthetics that turned into a gallery of celebrities in their beds and a pinnacle photomontage of Marilyn Monroe lying in bed, replacing the Da Vinci painting of the mythical Adam being touched by the finger of God. In addition, for this innovative commercial design, a skilled ironworker was brought in to build a customized structure to hold pillows and other accessories that also acted as a threshold entrance to the shop. Various colors of wood flooring were hand selected to create a truly unique display floor in front of ceiling to floor windows facing the street.
