The SSBAR, Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage in Rome, as part of the program of interventions aimed at the restoration, enhancement and use of the monumental complex of the Auditorium of the Emperor Hadrian, launched a competition of ideas for the “Covering of the Auditorium of the Emperor Hadrian in Piazza Madonna di Loreto in Rome. Our proposal included a pedestrian passage that sloped down into the site, allowing for passersby to see the archeological ruins. The overhead structure is completely transparent to allow maximum views and natural light.
